At the Feldsalat festival, everyone pitches in, because we're a non-commercial, participatory festival.
Whether as a volunteer or a dedicated attendee, everyone contributes to our success, whether it’s setting up, helping out in the workshops, or working behind the bar. This makes our festival a shared experience where we all come together to create something amazing.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to work a shift (2–3 hours) at the festival and do your part to ensure everything runs smoothly. No prior experience is required, and you will receive proper training before your shift. Additionally, you will always work as part of a team under the supervision of an experienced shift leader.
We need your support and a helping hand in these areas:
Artist Care
Description:
The DJs are doing their best to get you sweating on the dance floor. But to make sure they don’t get dehydrated themselves, they need your help! You’ll get to go behind the scenes and keep the DJ(s) supplied with drinks.
Awareness
Description:
Together with three other volunteers, you’ll make sure everyone is doing well and be the go-to person if anyone needs help.
Bar-Superstar
Description:
Serve beer, mix long drinks, and fill cups with sparkling wine or water. Plus, you’ll be the most popular person behind the bar.
Fire Watch
Description:
Keep an eye on our campfire and the flying sparks, add more wood, and make sure it’s just the fire that burns and not our property.
Entry
Description:
Check tickets, sign people in, and hand out colorful wristbands and goodie bags. You’ll also be the first point of contact for any questions newcomers may have.
Food-Guru
Description:
You’re a master at the grill and pizza oven! With a flourish, you whip up delicious grilled dishes and crispy pizzas. Impress your guests and liven up the atmosphere with your sense of humor!
Festival-Sweeper
Description:
Equipped with a trash bag and gloves, you can help us keep the festival clean by picking up trash and collecting returnable bottles.
VJ
Description:
Equipped with a trash bag and gloves, you can help us keep the festival clean by picking up trash and collecting returnable bottles.
Steward
Description:
You'll coordinate the arrival and make sure everyone has a place to park and that no one parks their car in the nature reserve.
Runner
Description:
Unfortunately, it happens from time to time that someone doesn’t show up for their shift. In that case, you’re called upon as a substitute and step in wherever you’re needed. If no one is absent, you can relax during your shift. But don’t count on it.
WC-Wizard*ess
Description:
A particularly important, and arguably the most crucial, task of the festival. Keep the restrooms clean, refill the bags with wood shavings, and restock the restroom stalls with toilet paper and other hygiene supplies.
